Day 1:

Gather all travelers from the Marseille Airport and get settled into our beautiful home for the week. We are greeted with champagne and canapes by the pool before having a lovely 3 course dinner in the courtyard. Early to bed, early start in the morning.

Day 2:

Breakfast is served around 8am. We head this morning to the market in Isle Sur la Sorge. This is a huge antique market in the area. Its is known for its amazing brocante stalls where I can spend hours looking for treasures. In addition we see the village market full of fruits, olives, cheeses and everything else under the sun! After an amazing lunch we head back out to visit all the wonderful shops that line the streets of the village. After a full day we return to the mas for a light soup dinner.

Day 3:

Today we are off to St. Esteve De Neri Winery for a truly fun and informative wine tasting and discussion with Allan Wilson, the owner. This is followed by lunch in the garden of his estate and we are joined by his beautiful wife Alex. This past spring Allan presented two cases of wine to William and Catherine for their wedding! We got to see the special lable which was made for the occasion. We even had the opportunity to stomp grapes- it was a little like I love Lucy....but so fun! On our way home we stop in Menerbe for a tour of the Dora Maar house. This was the home of Picasso's longtime mistress.

Day 4:

Today we head to La Bastide de Marie for a professional cooking class. La Bastide de Marie is a world class small hotel with its own private vineyard. You will enjoy a tour of the facility and will dine on what we have prepared. After a leisurely lunch we will go the beautiful town of Gordes. We will take a short walk around the town and have time to visit the shops. Dinner will be at the Mas.

Day 5:

Depart early again! Headed to St Remy. This is a very posh village... you know it's good when they sell caviar in the market. After a delightful lunch we depart for a tour of the asylum where Van Gogh stayed just before committing suicide. It is an interesting place. Dinner at one of my favorite spots in the countryside.

Day 6:

Off to Cassis! It is a little over an hour drive to the beautiful Mediterranean town of Cassis. We have time to stroll the beach before a light lunch at The Yacht Club. Afterwards we board a boat for a tour of the Callanques on the coastline. Beautiful! Dinner at the mas.

Day 7:

Loumarin, my favorite market, so save some money. We shop the market til 1pm and stop for lunch in Bonnieux which is one of the most spectacular hillside villages in the area. We spend the rest of the afternoon tying up any loose ends and getting things packed and shipped. We enjoy a farewell dinner at the mas. Oh the week went fast!
